Rule #13 – You Can Be Mad and Sin-free
Anger doesn’t have to result in a sin. It all depends on what you do with it.
There are those who say it’s a sin to be angry. Trouble is, these people haven’t read their Bible carefully. Ephesians 4:26 clearly states “in your anger do not sin.” This means it’s possible to be angry and not sin, but if you’re not careful you will do something wrong.
Let’s consider the example of Jesus. In the second chapter of John and in Mark 3:5 Jesus is clearly angry, yet we know from other passages that He never sinned. Therefore, it is plain that while being mad is a powerful emotion it can be used to do something constructive.
